Meet Mocha Cat

Mocha was created for grown-ups who still find comfort in cute characters. His stories are inspired by familiar moments—work stress, difficult mornings, coffee breaks, social exhaustion, and that wonderful feeling of finally getting home. Through simple illustrations and dry humor, Mocha turns those everyday experiences into relatable moments that make people think, “That’s exactly me.”

How Mocha Began

I’m Windy, a Hong Kong born illustrator based in Norway. Having lived and worked across very different cultures, I’ve always been fascinated by the things that somehow feel universal: work stress, tired mornings, awkward social moments, our dependence on coffee—and the small comforts that make everyday life a little better.

I created Mocha Cat in 2021 as a personal drawing project. At the beginning, he was simply a little black cat I enjoyed drawing. But as I shared more of his everyday struggles online, people began seeing themselves in him. The audience grew, illustrations started being shared around the world, and what started as a hobby gradually became a full creative business.

Today, the world of Mocha includes a growing collection of stationery, gifts and lifestyle products sold to customers around the world and through retail stockists. But at the heart of everything is still the same idea: creating something that can make someone smile and feel a little more understood. 

More Than a Cute Cat

Mocha has grown into a character with his own recognizable personality, visual language and point of view. His world naturally connects with cat lovers, coffee people and adults navigating the sometimes exhausting reality of everyday life.

Mocha's visual identity and relatable storytelling can translate naturally across stationery, gifts, accessories, home and lifestyle products, collaborations, publishing and other character-IP experiences.

Where We’re Going

My vision is to grow Mocha Cat into a global character IP—one that can travel across cultures, products and partnerships while still feeling unmistakably like Mocha.

I work closely with brands and retailers to bring a little humor, comfort and everyday joy to people who are also just trying to get through the day—preferably with coffee.
